Uploading and Converting

Did you know Google can automatically change your Office files to Google formatting? With this setting checked, after uploading an Office file, you will be able to communicate and collaborate on your new Google documents just as you always have.

Within your Drive, just click on the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner and choose Settings. GoogleSetting.png Then, make sure a check is in the box for Convert uploaded files to Google Docs editor format.

Adding Links to Docs

Adding a link to a Google Docs, Sheets or Slides is a great way to curate resources.

There are a couple of different ways to add links in a document. The first way is to copy the link from the website and paste it in your document. When you hit space or enter the link will be activated.

The other strategy for adding links is to enter the word or phrase you want to make a link. This will make a word or phrase the link instead of the actual link. For example, copy the link from the website,enter the text, highlight it, click Insert Link and paste the link.GoogleInsertLink.png
